12 Volt Linear Power Supply Units - EN50131-6 Type A Compliance

RGL Electronics manufacture a range of Linear Power Supplies for the Security industry that relates to the EN50131-6 Type A Power Supply standards for Intrusion Systems Grades 1-4.

The design is a microprocessor based intelligent unit providing all the facilities that are required to meet the standards and offer the installer a range of options depending on load output and standby battery requirements.

The design offers a comprehensive fault diagnostics of the Power Supply, an LED indication plus alarm signals (through on board voltage free change-over contacts) are generated in the following instances: Mains Fail (Separate Alarm Relay - Timed Delay).

Please note:-

Compliance to these standards is dependant on battery usage ie an EN3-1218-B with an 18amp battery will give you 1.5amps to load with 12 hour standby capability. However an EN3-1218-B with a 17amp battery will only allow 1.4amps to load with 12 hour capability. Hence you divide the battery used by 12 to give you the permitted load.
