Elmdene’s Fire Alarm Beacon is EN54-23 certified and capable of C-3-15 performance (ceiling mounted beacon). The beacon provides a coverage area up to 3m height and 15m diameter, matching the typical coverage of smoke detectors enabling customers a simple method of specifying and installing the devices.

The new standard presents a challenge to specifiers and installers in the early days as the question arises of how many strobes are required to comply with minimum light coverage requirements. The positioning of smoke detectors is well established, therefore matching beacon coverage to typical smoke detector position and coverage should enable simple choices and costings.
