C-TEC’s Hush Button fire alarm solution tackles all of these issues head on.

The C-Tec Hush Button is an award winning product designed for use in HMO buildings.  Each hush button is designed to be used within a dwelling within the HMO.  It is designed to have a circuit of conventional detectors connected to it from withing the dwelling.  The main aim of the hush button is to reduce false alarms through out the entire building as the hush button provides each dwelling with a 2 minute silence facility in the event of a false alarm.  The detectors are silenced simply by an occupant of the dwelling pressing the hush button on the front of the unit.

Key Features:

• Upgrades the level of protection offered in a flat or apartment from Grade D to Grade A
• Provides each individual dwelling with a two-minute silence facility and a 15-minute isolate facility to BS 5839 Part 6 clause 12.
• Reduces the likelihood of unnecessary building evacuations, system vandalism and the possibility of a true alarm signal being ignored
• Fully monitored for open and short circuit faults
