The Scope Connexions 5 is a POCSAG data display radio paging system which can be used to transmit both text and numeric messages direct to pocket pagers carried by individuals or entire groups. Information is input using either or both of the two RS232 serial ports. There are also models available which provide an additional RS232 port, a USB port, an RS485 port and an ethernet port. Contact your Scope dealer for further details. The transmitter is designed to work at UHF frequencies which give an incredibly high degree of reliability in terms of the signalling success within a commercial environment, whilst using very small and unobtrusive aerials. It uses the same international standard digital signalling system (POCSAG) deployed by most wide area paging companies. This is accepted to be amongst the most sophisticated and reliable in the world. 

Phone Module:

This Scope equipment is not intended for direct connection to the Public Switch Telephone Network (PSTN) or exposed plant leads exceeding 1000 metres. The Scope equipment is intended for connection to a listed Network Terminator 1 (NT1) Device. The distance between the NT1 and the Scope equipment, when connected to outside cable or exposed plant leads, must not exceed 1000 metres. Connection/ operation other than as intended will invalidate all equipment warranties and may result in damage to the equipment, the telephone network or both.

The Scope digital paging interface can be used to transmit text or numeric messages from any internal telephone on your exchange, direct to the pocket of the individual being paged. The system is voice prompt driven for user-friendly and fast operation. Installation: The Telephone Paging Interface is pre-installed in your ConneXions transmitter. Installation is therefore limited to plugging in the lead between a standard 2 wire extension socket (as for any internal telephone) and the RJ11 socket provided on the ConneXions lower chassis plate (marked TEL IF). Make a note of the extension number, which will be needed for dialling into the system.
