Scope, PTPRO/2M, Paging Transmitter for Hearing Impaired and Maintenance Staff

“Industrial Strength” paging systems designed for use  with professional Fire and Sec urity systems installed in  commercial/industrial pr emises. The system is  primarily designed to alert t he hearing impaired in the  event of a fire or other emergency where an audible  sounder is the normal means of indication.  Main users include factori es, offices, universities,  schools, hospitals, hotels and public buildings.

The Pagetek Pro System is designed to comply with the recommendations detailed in  BS5839-1: 2013  for alerting the  hearing impaired to the  activation of a Fire Alarm  System. The system can also  be used in conjunction with  a security alarm panel to  alert guards who might be  located remote from the main  premises.

The PageTek Pro  2 adds the abilit y to interface with other devi ces  using a RS232 serial port. Typica lly this could be linked to th e  printer output of the host fire p anel to provide zone data and o ther  status information to separate pagers carried by maintenance st aff  etc.  Pager wearers can also be paged individually using optional Con nex  Page PC software and Ethernet card.

The PTPRO/2M adds a RS232 link from the fire panel enabling all panel activity to be paged including pre-alarms and loop and location information. This data can be sent to a different pager group to be carried by fire marshals, maintenance staff etc
